NFP has deployed Qumis, an AI platform developed by insurance lawyers, to overhaul its property and casualty operations.

The rollout follows a 2024 pilot that proved the system could cut policy review times and sharpen claims and coverage analysis.

Since going live earlier this year, Qumis has been integrated into NFP’s P&C and claims teams. The tool enables faster reviews, higher accuracy, and more time allocated to client service.

Mark J. Rieder, NFP’s head of innovation, said the company’s strategy centers on applying data and technology to improve client results.

He noted that Qumis allows teams to work faster, operate with greater accuracy, and deliver legal-grade analysis — a fit with the company’s tech priorities.

NFP differentiates itself through our commitment to technology, data, and innovation. Our strategy is built around harnessing data and technology to deliver better client outcomes.

“Qumis helps our teams move faster, work smarter, and deliver legal-grade analysis with confidence. It’s exactly the kind of technology we want in our tech stack,” Mark J. Rieder said.

Demand for AI in the insurance sector continues to climb as workloads increase and policy reviews grow more complex. Qumis eliminates repetitive comparisons, giving brokers the ability to scale precise analysis for a broader client base.

Dan Schuleman, Qumis co-founder and CEO, said the company provides the infrastructure insurance brokers need to handle complex policy work efficiently.

He added that Qumis enables professionals to move quickly, maintain precision, and make decisions backed by data-driven intelligence.

Qumis is modernizing how teams work, while powering intelligence-driven decisions that help insurance professionals work faster, operate more efficiently, and maintain legal-grade precision.
