OneShield, a provider of core insurance technology for property and casualty carriers and MGAs, launched the OneShield AI Hub — a centralized platform for building, deploying, and governing artificial intelligence in insurance software.
The hub creates a secure environment for OneShield teams, clients, and partners to develop and test AI solutions.
At launch, it includes foundational agents and large language model (LLM) tools designed to deliver high-impact use cases faster and with greater assurance of compliance.
OneShield’s cloud-based and SaaS platforms include enterprise-level policy management, billing, claims, rating, relationship management, product configuration, business intelligence, and smart analytics.
Doug Moore, Chief Innovation Officer, called the hub a breakthrough in AI design standards. “What makes the AI Hub special is its intentional design for interoperability and scale,” Moore said.
By grounding our use cases in Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) standards, we’re laying the foundation for a collaborative ecosystem across carriers, MGAs, and external platforms.

The initiative spans both of OneShield’s product lines: OneShield Enterprise (OSE) and OneShield Market Solutions (OMS).
Liza Petrie, President of OSE, pointed to the early impact of an AI agent that can parse and structure SERFF filings in minutes, a process that once consumed hours of manual work. “This is just the beginning,” Petrie said.
Rex Blazevich, President of OMS, highlighted projects such as automated claims triage and intelligent policy summarization. He noted the AI Hub offers a shared layer of tools, governance, and security that accelerates delivery while ensuring compliance.
CEO Tony Villa positioned the launch as a turning point for insurance technology. “This is more than a technology launch,” Villa said.
