Patra, a provider of AI-powered software solutions and technology-enabled insurance outsourcing services, has expanded its Patra AI platform following a series of product upgrades that extend automation coverage to as much as 85% of commercial insurance policy volume.
The update targets document-heavy workflows that continue to dominate commercial insurance operations.
The release delivers four milestones in one cycle. Patra AI now supports Commercial Package policies, improves underlying AI model performance, introduces monthly SaaS subscription pricing, and adds new operational reporting tools aimed at agency leadership.
Patra AI was built to handle the most labor-intensive parts of the policy lifecycle, including policy checking, quote comparison, and large-scale extraction and structuring of policy data.
Patra is a privately held insurance technology-enabled outsourcing company headquartered in El Dorado Hills, California. It provides business process outsourcing (BPO), AI-powered software, and operational support services to insurance organizations.
The firm focuses on modernizing insurance back offices so agencies, MGAs, wholesalers, and carriers can scale and grow profitably.
The platform combines proprietary AI models with workflow automation designed for insurance use cases, producing results that are validated through human-in-the-loop review processes measured in minutes rather than hours.
Customers access the platform either as a self-service SaaS product or through Patra’s managed service model, where delivery teams operate workflows on behalf of clients.
According to Beinsure, this dual deployment structure allows agencies to adopt AI-driven automation without reshaping their internal operating models.
Pricing structure has shifted as well. Patra now offers simple monthly subscriptions for self-service users alongside transactional pricing for full-service clients, positioning enterprise-grade AI tools within reach of agencies, brokers, and wholesalers regardless of scale.
The most significant technical expansion is support for Commercial Package policies, an area where automation has historically struggled.
CPPs often combine multiple coverages into a single unstructured PDF that runs hundreds of pages, forcing manual review across different lines of business.
Patra AI now extracts and analyses data across up to five commercial lines within a single policy document.
Coverage includes commercial property, commercial general liability, commercial auto, workers’ compensation, and commercial umbrella. The platform processes these documents as a unified workflow rather than fragmented reviews.
Will Dogan, senior vice president of product and service line management at Patra, said CPPs represented one of the largest remaining barriers for insurance document automation.
He said extracting and analysing data across multiple lines inside a single document had limited automation reach across the industry until recently.

According to Dogan, combining updated AI models with SaaS pricing allows agencies of all sizes to automate complex workflows with verified accuracy approaching 99.5%.
“The complexity of extracting and analyzing data from five different lines within a single unstructured document was a barrier holding back the reach of automation solutions – until now. By combining our latest AI advancements with a new SaaS subscription plan, we are ensuring that agencies of every size can now automate their most complex workflows with the same speed, efficiency, and 99.5% verified accuracy they’ve come to expect from Patra,” Will Dogan said.
Beyond CPPs, Patra AI now supports 12 major commercial lines of business. These include business owners policies, cyber liability, directors and officers, employment practices liability, professional liability, excess liability, and workers’ compensation.
The goal is a single platform capable of addressing most commercial policy workflows without layering tools.
To lower adoption friction, Patra introduced SaaS subscriptions starting at $99 per month, including a 14-day free trial and unlimited user seats. Plans scale based on policy volume rather than headcount.
Patra said SaaS customers recorded time reductions exceeding 85% in policy checking workflows compared with manual processing, while one customer cut annual policy checking costs by $300,000.
For agencies preferring outsourced execution, Patra continues to offer a full-service model combining Patra AI with global delivery teams.
The model includes fixed transactional pricing, faster turnaround times, and coverage for errors and omissions attributable to Patra.
The platform now includes expanded activity and performance reporting, giving agency leaders visibility into usage, workflow efficiency, and return on investment. Exportable data supports deeper internal analysis and operational benchmarking.
According to Beinsure, reporting transparency increasingly determines whether AI platforms move beyond pilot deployments into daily production use.
