Insurance data platform Percayso Inform has partnered with startup motor insurance broker Pizza in preparation for Pizza’s official rollout later this year.

The collaboration grants Pizza access to Percayso’s intelligence infrastructure, supporting its fraud prevention and customer verification efforts.

Percayso placed second in last year’s InsurTech ranking. The platform offers real-time data access via API, enabling brokers, MGAs, and insurers to streamline decision-making and improve risk selection using aggregated datasets from multiple sources.

Pizza is positioning itself as a consumer-first alternative in a motor insurance market burdened by low public trust and rising fraud.

The platform enhances the quote process by providing insurers with more detailed information about applicants, helping them to detect fraud, optimize pricing, and improve customer acquisition.

The startup’s approach rewards safer drivers through a model called “Slice Back,” which refunds 5% of the annual premium to policyholders who avoid fault claims. The rebate applies even if the customer switches providers at renewal.

Founders Sam Baker, Marc Meeking, and Colin Sadler—each with senior leadership backgrounds in motor broking—have built Pizza to counteract insurer-side losses while restoring customer confidence. Their strategy blends simplicity, transparent pricing, and behavior-based incentives.

Baker said the insurance sector faces both a trust deficit and escalating fraud, and Pizza aims to address both by combining proactive risk checks with clear customer benefits.
