Westland Insurance acquired of MSP Insurance, expanded operations in Ontario

Westland Insurance has expanded its operations in Ontario with the acquisition of MSP Insurance Corp., also known as Mitchell Sandham Pastor Insurance Brokers. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. This marks Westland’s third acquisition in the province this year.

Based in Mississauga, MSP Insurance has served clients in the Greater Toronto Area since 1957. The brokerage specializes in property and casualty insurance, offering personalized service through tailored guidance, policy management, and claims support. Its team of experienced brokers is well-regarded for prioritizing client needs.

Jamie Lyons, president and CEO of Westland Insurance, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition. “We’re excited to welcome MSP Insurance to Westland,” he said.

As we continue growing in Eastern Canada, we are privileged to partner with a brokerage that excels in leadership and employee dedication. We look forward to collaborating with their team to serve Mississauga and positively impact their clients

In Alberta, Westland Insurance has also acquired F.A. Smith Insurance Service, enhancing its ability to serve clients in Fort Saskatchewan, Lamont, and Smoky Lake. This property and casualty brokerage has operated in the home, auto, farm, and business insurance markets for over 50 years.

Known for its strong community ties, F.A. Smith has built a reputation for delivering personalized risk management solutions.

Westland highlighted the alignment between the two companies.

Their community focus and commitment to exceptional client experiences made this partnership a natural fit. Both organizations share a dedication to supporting the communities they serve.

Lyons added, “We are pleased to welcome F.A. Smith Insurance Service to Westland and look forward to working together to deliver outstanding service to their clients.”
