Liam McGuinty is an experienced leader in corporate strategy, public policy, and stakeholder engagement. He has been with the Insurance Bureau of Canada for over eight years, contributing to its strategic initiatives and member engagement efforts.
- Vice-President, Strategy (Jan. 2023 – Present)
Based in Toronto, McGuinty leads IBC’s strategic and corporate planning processes. His focus is on developing strategies to address national issues affecting the insurance industry across Canada. - Vice-President, Office of the President (Nov. 2020 – Jan. 2023). He worked closely with the President & CEO to drive strategic priorities and manage activities related to the President’s office.
- Director, Strategy and Member Engagement (Aug. 2018 – Nov. 2020). McGuinty provided leadership on IBC’s strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and member interests.
- Director, Policy (Oct. 2015 – March 2016, Ontario Chamber of Commerce). Developed and implemented a comprehensive policy agenda for Ontario’s businesses, representing over 60,000 members.
Before joining IBC, Liam worked with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, taking several progressive leadership roles.
