ClimateTech Mitigrate secured strategic investment from Lloyd’s

Mitigrate, a climate-focused insurance technology company and alumnus of Lloyd’s Lab, has secured a strategic investment from Lloyd’s, with continued backing from existing investors.

Mitigrate offers a SaaS platform that addresses property-level flood risk, targeting both commercial and residential insurance providers.

The system helps insurers reduce claims, support environmental objectives, and offer added services to policyholders.

The platform currently includes more than 4 mn buildings in the Nordics and 3 mn in the UK. As Mitigrate completes its UK rollout, it is initiating proof-of-concept projects in London and preparing to enter other European markets, including Germany, later this year.

Mitigrate is the first flood risk management platform built specifically for use by underwriting and claims teams.

It allows insurers to manage flood risk throughout the policy lifecycle with a forward-looking approach.

This investment will support continued product upgrades and expansion into new regions, helping insurers apply flood risk mitigation practices in daily operations.

Laurent Olivier Feuilleaubois, CEO and Founder of Mitigrate, stated that the investment from Lloyd’s confirms the platform’s value and impact, both commercially and socially. He expressed appreciation for the support and interest in expanding the partnership.

It’s a strong vote of confidence in the work we’re doing—proof that our platform delivers both commercial and social value. We’re grateful for Lloyd’s trust and excited to deepen our collaboration as we scale our impact.

Rosie Denée, Head of Innovation at Lloyd’s, noted that Mitigrate offers software with actionable guidance for property insurers to limit flood damage.

Participation in Lloyd’s Lab Cohort 11 contributed to refining the platform and accelerating adoption.

Mitigrate is transforming flood risk assessment with its cutting-edge software platform that provides property insurers with actionable recommendations to prevent flood damages.

She said Lloyd’s supports Mitigrate’s ongoing development, aiming to strengthen preventative tools that help the insurance market manage flood risk more effectively.
