CoverGo rolls out AI claims document processing for Generali Hong Kong

CoverGo has deployed its Intelligent Document Processing AI Agent for Generali Hong Kong, giving the insurer a new layer of automation across health claims operations. The move is aimed at faster processing, stronger accuracy, and a smoother customer experience.

The rollout supports Generali Hong Kong’s broader push to speed up claims handling and tighten operations through AI-based tools.

It also shows where claims tech is heading, less manual handling, more real-time processing.

CoverGo’s IDP AI Agent processes unstructured documents such as claim forms, medical reports, invoices, and receipts, then converts them into structured data ready for decision-making in real time.

Used alongside CoverGo’s wider claims capabilities, the tool helps insurers automate much more of the claims journey from intake through review.

By placing AI directly inside the workflow, Generali Hong Kong has reduced manual data entry, cut delays, and improved the overall customer experience.

The system extracts relevant information and identifies medical diagnosis codes, including ICD and benefit codes, along with supporting claim details.

Cecilia Chang, chief executive of Generali Hong Kong, said the insurer continues to look for technology that improves claims experience for customers and lifts operational efficiency. She said the deployment supports ongoing work to streamline claims handling through AI-enabled capabilities and reflects Generali Hong Kong’s focus on operational excellence.

“The deployment of this solution supports our ongoing efforts to streamline claims handling through AI-enabled capabilities, reflecting our focus on driving operational excellence,” said Cecilia Chang.

Tomas Holub, chief executive and founder of CoverGo, said the project shows how AI agents are starting to reshape insurance operations. He said the technology automates processes, improves accuracy, and helps insurers scale customer service while reducing cost.

According to Beinsure analysts, document-heavy health claims workflows remain one of the clearest use cases for insurance AI, especially where carriers need cleaner data extraction, quicker routing, and lower manual workload without rebuilding the full claims stack.

The implementation also fits Generali Hong Kong’s broader effort to make customer interactions more seamless while keeping internal execution tighter and faster.

CoverGo describes itself as a global AI and no-code insurance platform for health, life, and P&C carriers. The company says insurers use its platform to digitise and automate workflows across distribution, policy servicing, and claims. Its client list includes AXA, Bupa, Sun Life, Prudential, MSIG, Dai-ichi Life, and Marsh.
