Jones, an AI-driven insurtech company, secured $15 mn in its Series B funding round led by NewSpring Capital. Key investors such as Camber Creek, DivcoWest Ventures, Ground Up Ventures, Hetz Ventures, JLL Spark, Khosla Ventures, and Rudin Ventures also participated.
Founded in 2017 by Omri Stern and Michael Rudman, Jones simplifies insurance verification for the real estate and construction sectors. The firm operates across 25,039 properties and projects, covering over 2.5 bn square feet in the US.
The Series B funding highlights the company’s success in addressing one of the toughest challenges in the category: scaling an AI-driven software solution in an industry heavily reliant on human-in-the-loop processes.
Jones resolved the manual bottleneck by combining machine learning with human compliance experts, paving the way for unparalleled efficiency and scalability. This milestone signals the confidence of investors in the company’s ability to continue building a category-defining business model.
The new funding will fuel Jones’s development of AI-powered agents aimed at automating routine tasks and facilitating autonomous decision-making using risk benchmarks, insurance logic, and verified documents. The company also plans to improve ERP system integrations and streamline software workflows.
Jones recently introduced its Insurance Policy Verification tool, helping clients detect exclusionary policy language. This reduces exposure to third-party claims, which standard insurance certificate processes often overlook.
Jones continues to scale its offerings, following a product integration with CMiC and the onboarding of key enterprise clients. CEO Omri Stern highlighted the company’s role in enabling smarter risk decisions within the insurance industry, while NewSpring Capital’s Marc Lederman noted the growth potential amid increasing compliance and regulatory complexities.
