PureHealth has launched an AI-powered document processing system for the National Insurance Company – Daman, targeting faster and more accurate health insurance operations in the UAE.
The technology is expected to process more than 60 mn documents annually for Daman, which serves over three million members across the country.
PureHealth said more than 80% of documents are expected to be converted into structured digital data, reducing processing times from days to minutes. Manual rework is projected to fall by more than 50%.
The system is intended to reduce manual data entry and identify missing or incomplete information when documents are submitted. It will support policyholder requests ranging from enrolments and endorsements to more complex claims.
Daman expects the automation to reduce errors and follow-up requests while freeing staff to spend more time on fraud detection, clinical quality assurance and member support.

The technology uses large language models, automated classification and structured data extraction to digitise policy applications and feed information into Daman’s existing workflows.
The system was developed by PureCS, PureHealth’s cloud and technology services subsidiary. It combines proprietary components built around Daman’s operations with broader AI capabilities.
PureHealth said the infrastructure is also intended to support further automation in areas including claims handling and prior authorisation.
