Reliable Transportation Association rolled out a Physical Damage auto insurance program

Reliable Transportation Association (RTA), a managing general agent and Lloyd’s of London coverholder, has rolled out a Physical Damage insurance program for commercial auto operators in six U.S. states (see US Auto Insurance Rates by States).

The program targets operators in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, California, Illinois, and Texas, with expansion to Georgia and Florida planned later this year.

It covers collision, rollover, theft, vandalism, fire, and weather-related losses, offering faster coverage delivery and fewer administrative hurdles.

RTA acts as the managing underwriter and distribution partner for STAR Mutual RRG, working with a nationwide agent network to cut friction in commercial auto insurance transactions.

Agents appointed with STAR Mutual gain exclusive access to the program, supported by RTA’s digital platform for same-day quoting and binding.

Automated workflows are paired with underwriter oversight, eliminating premium financing costs and reducing manual processing.

The pricing structure rewards safety-focused operators. Those with clean Motor Vehicle Records, strong loss histories, and stable operations secure competitive rates tied to their operational safety data.

The program mirrors STAR Mutual’s commercial auto liability appetite while adapting to the unique demands of physical damage coverage.

For agents already contracted with STAR Mutual, the product requires no extra onboarding. Competitive commissions are in place to drive adoption.

RTA states the initiative strengthens its commitment to building efficient insurance products and closer partnerships.

By combining Lloyd’s financial backing with its near-instant quoting technology, RTA positions agents to protect their clients’ vehicles, operational uptime, and revenue with greater speed and accuracy.
