Malaysia-based insurer Tune Protect is expanding its embedded travel insurance partnership with online booking platform Airpaz into Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines, following the product’s launch in Malaysia in 2025.

The regional expansion will be supported by Tune Protect Re, the group’s reinsurance subsidiary, and local insurance partners in each market.

The integration allows Airpaz customers to purchase travel insurance directly during the flight booking process, with immediate digital policy issuance, access to policy information and claims assistance.

The distribution model incorporates travel protection into the booking transaction, eliminating the need for travelers to arrange separate coverage through another platform.

Tune Protect Malaysia will continue serving as the insurance partner in Malaysia. Oona Insurance Indonesia will provide coverage in Indonesia, Krungthai Panich Insurance in Thailand, and Pioneer Insurance & Surety Corporation in the Philippines.

The partnership extends Tune Protect’s digital insurance distribution across Southeast Asia through an established online travel booking channel.

Through collaborations with trusted partners across the travel ecosystem, we remain focused on broadening access to travel protection and delivering solutions that meet the evolving needs of travelers across Southeast Asia.

Janet Chin, CEO of Tune Protect Re

The expansion builds on the companies’ existing cooperation in Malaysia, extending embedded travel insurance availability to three additional Southeast Asian markets through locally established insurance providers.
