The Benefit Assistant, an AI-powered agent, supports employees with over 1,500 benefits-related queries, such as enrolling in plans, updating personal information, or managing dependents. Designed for intuitive interaction, it uses generative AI to provide clear, jargon-free guidance. This tool aims to empower employees while reducing the workload for HR teams, freeing them for strategic tasks.
BeneFITwise Premier, a decision-support tool, analyzes health claims data to deliver tailored financial insights year-round. It helps employees optimize their benefits by aligning healthcare needs with financial considerations, minimizing reliance on HR departments.
The tool proactively engages employees, offering targeted communications to improve benefits usage and satisfaction, potentially boosting retention while easing HR engagement efforts.
Robert Deshaies, Chief Operating Officer of Benefits at WEX, highlighted the initiative’s focus on simplifying benefits administration. “Our goal is to enhance employees’ physical and financial well-being while reducing the strain on HR teams,” he said.
These pilots underscore WEX’s dedication to leveraging AI for practical, user-friendly solutions in benefits administration.
