Insurtech YuLife, a tech-driven financial services company on a mission to inspire life, has extended its group protection offering to include health insurance for employers through a partnership with Bupa.
YuLife’s launch of group health insurance provided by Bupa furthers our commitment to enriching member’s health, providing benefits that are truly valued by employees, and boosting workplace wellbeing at businesses across the country.
YuLife currently offers group life insurance, critical illness and income protection cover, and will now extend the core elements of its offering, including access to the game-like YuLife app, to the health insurance market.
YuLife members can now access Bupa’s mental health cover, unlimited digital GP appointments, and access to treatment and referrals for cancer, mental health and musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions.
Since its foundation in 2016, YuLife’s innovative approach to insurance has seen its group life insurance, critical illness, and income protection policies gain rapid traction in the UK insurance market.
Now, in partnership with Bupa, YuLife is applying the core elements of its offering, including access to the game-like YuLife app, to the health insurance market, by adding a product that supports employees’ health and wellbeing and encourages healthy lifestyle habits.
Investing in health and wellbeing in the workplace results in higher engagement, a more inclusive culture, lower sickness absence, and increased employee retention, YuLife detailed.
There are many things we love about group health insurance. It provides healthcare support for employees. But, for most employees, insurance is usually left in the drawer and forgotten about in the day-to-day. Most don’t interact with their health insurance until something goes wrong.
Bupa’s policies offer three standard cover levels alongside custom-designed policies so employers to choose policies that fit their team’s specific needs.
At the same time, we are facing a health crisis: 80% of illness is due to everyday lifestyle factors. In other words – 80% of illnesses can be prevented. So we thought – why not offer health insurance that not only meets you at the point of illness – but also prevents that illness by improving people’s lifestyles day-on-day.
