Zurich Insurance Asia Pacific launches Edge Assist to boost digital insurance

Zurich Insurance Asia Pacific rolled out Zurich Edge Assist, the newest module of its Zurich Edge Platform (ZEP) – a smart, connected hub designed to reshape how intermediaries sell, serve, and support customers.

Built with direct input from agents and brokers, it’s meant to strip out friction, speed up workflows, and pull Zurich’s internal and external teams into one synced environment.

The idea’s simple: one unified place for everything – sales, servicing, and claims. No messy handoffs, no duplicate entries, no lost leads.

Intermediaries can see what clients are doing in real time, track interactions, and hit follow-ups before opportunities slip away.

Who is Zurich Edge Assist for?

Who is Zurich Edge Assist for?

Every customer gets consistent service, whether the interaction starts online or face-to-face.

Edge Assist runs as a shared platform for agents, brokers, and Zurich staff, tuned to each role through custom access levels.

Built-in logic manages underwriting referrals and automates repetitive workflows. The result is less admin noise, faster responses, smoother operations, and a better experience at every touchpoint.

The platform already offers several core features, with more rolling out soon. Smarter Lead Retention automatically routes quotes and interactions to the right team, keeping conversion rates tight.

Complete Customer View syncs every policy and conversation across channels so customers never have to repeat themselves. Flexible Commissions lets teams manage different payout models and payment flows.

Coming next: dashboard-based task tracking and AI-driven recommendations that help agents pair customers with the right product instantly.

Zurich Edge Assist isn’t just a local pilot. It’s multi-market by design, supporting varied insurance propositions through a 100% cloud-native, API-ready architecture.

Partners can plug in agent portals, banking systems, or white-labeled interfaces without rebuilding from scratch. The platform adapts to each region’s needs while keeping the experience consistent.

The first launch went live in Indonesia, where agents and travel intermediaries are already using it. More rollouts are on deck for India, Japan, and Malaysia, with an extended product set planned through 2026.

Roopa Malhotra, Zurich’s Head of Customer & Digital for Asia Pacific, said Edge Assist “bridges online and offline experiences, helping partners deliver seamless and personalized solutions.”

Zurich Indonesia’s Country Manager, Edhi Tjahja Negara, called it “a major leap toward unified distribution, connecting agents, digital partners, and customers in one ecosystem.”

Zurich Edge Assist reflects our commitment to digital excellence and customer-centricity. By bridging online and offline experiences, we’re enabling our partners and intermediaries to offer choice and deliver seamless, personalized insurance solutions across multiple markets and product lines.
