Insurtech Lemonade with Cardif launched of homeowners insurance in France

Insurtech Lemonade, powered by AI and social impact, announced the launch of Homeowners insurance in France in partnership with BNP Paribas Cardif.

Millions of homeowners now have the option to purchase comprehensive home and belongings insurance through Lemonade, enjoying the streamlined service that has become synonymous with the brand.

Lemonade’s homeowners insurance policy, available from 10 euros per month, includes standard coverage for fire, water damage, reconstruction, and civil liability.

It also offers additional options like School Insurance for children’s activities, Legal Protection for various disputes, and Theft Outside the Home coverage for belongings.

Lemonade expanded into the French market in December 2020 by launching AI-powered renters insurance.

This move has significantly advanced its European operations, and the introduction of homeowners insurance across France marks a further step in its global expansion strategy.

Daniel Schreiber, Lemonade’s CEO and co-founder, noted, “The European market was our fastest growing segment last year”.

Transitioning from a single to a multi-line insurer signifies a new phase in our European venture, especially in partnership with BNP Paribas Cardif—a relationship that enriches our prospects.

Daniel Schreiber, Lemonade’s CEO
